While I'm all for progress and cghnaing with the times, there are some things that you don't touch, JUST BECAUSE. Going to see Santa, sit on his lap, hear his Ho, Ho, Ho , talk to him and tell him your wish list is almost like a rite of passage for each and every child. It's very unfortunate that Cadillac Fairview has chosen to throw this tradition away. Why bother decorating the Eaton Centre at all with Christmas decorations if the biggest Christmas attraction of all is disregarded because it's considered an archaeic tradition? What about children whose parents can't afford a computer? This is, indeed, a sad day for Toronto. Hopefully this will never happen again.
