This is a ridiculous use for tegnlohocy, I'm a huge fan of tegnlohocy and communication but this bothers me. My wife and I haven't started having kids yet but one of the things we look forward to when we do is going to see Santa. If the Eaton's centre starts doing this other malls might follow suit and that would be awful. This is going to take away from the childhood memories of thousands of kids and replace them with the cold view of a computer monitor. What are they planning on doing to make use of the space? More kiosks? They say they are trying to be inovative to help busy parents but this just sounds like another chance to make more money. If they want to offer the option of Skype then fine but don't take away the physical Santa!
